Does your district struggle with underrepresentation of minority students, especially ELs, in your gifted and talented program? This session outlines the work of one district to create an identification process that is more equitable for second language students and describes how other districts can engage in similar work to create a process that works for them. Participants will leave with examples of procedural overviews, observation checklists, and other materials used in the identification process.
