As language teachers, we know learning takes place when the environment is fun, safe and low-risk. Young Dual Language Learners learn through both free and intentional/structured drama. This presentation tells the journey about how our Chinese Immersion Preschool teachers use theater to intentionally teach and support our Dual Language Learners literacy development in both Chinese and English at all language levels, while supporting their creativity and social-emotional development.
