I've been teaching 10th Honors, 11th & 12th grade English since the mid-90's both in Miami and Southern California. Some of my additional contributions have involved initiating English Language Leadership programs (i.e. weekend enrichments and clubs to help integrate ELD students and foster peer mentors) and an S.A.T. prep program on campus. I am passionate about hiking, camping, foreign languages (Spanish/French) and modern art. I've traveled the world and lived overseas for 12 years (Asia, Europe, the Middle East). I'm excited to learn more about the Harkness method and am grateful for this opportunity to attend the Exeter Humanities Institute and meet others who believe in student driven learning. Currently, I am working at Palm Desert High School in Palm Desert, California.
