As the Coordinator of Special Programs, I oversee our district's Response to Intervention framework, Dyslexia Intervention Program, Section 504 student servicing, and our Gifted & Talented program. Before moving into administration, I taught middle school reading and English for 16 years and have worked with gifted students, students in our Special Education program, English language learners, dyslexic students, and every kind of kiddo in between. I am certified to teach English language arts, reading, and social studies from grades 4-8; am certified as a principal for grades K-12; and will complete my certification in computer science later this summer.
