I am passionate about literacy, languages, cultures, equity, mindfulness, and traveling. As a Coordinator for the Writing Reform and Innovation for Teaching Excellence (WRITE) Institute and Language Learner Team at the San Diego County Office of Education, I provide research-driven professional learning (synchronous and asynchronous) to teachers, coaches, and administrators, and develop CCSS aligned curriculum that is available in English and Spanish. With a focus on language learners, this research-based approach to academic literacy integrates Common Core/ELD State Standards, technology tools, and equitable assessment.
